ABOUT THE PLAY
COMEDY
Set in the roaring 1920s, Fallen Angels follows two best
friends, Julia and Jane, as they face a comic dilemma that threatens their marriages and tests their friendship. Happily married (or so they think) to their respective husbands, Fred and Willy, the women find themselves in a frenzy when they learn that a former lover, Maurice, is coming back to town. As the anticipation mounts, so does their hilarity-fuelled panic. Over champagne and petty squabbles, Julia and Jane wrestle with their romantic pasts, rekindled passions, and societal expectations. When Maurice finally arrives, chaos ensues in a whirlwind of misunderstandings,
absurdities, and razor-sharp dialogue.
A ground-breaking comedy, Fallen Angels still pushes
the boundaries of what is acceptable, delivering a
bold and satirical take on relationships, fidelity, and
female agency. With its fast-paced humour and sharp wit, this play promises an unforgettable night of laughter.
